چکیده
Stem cell–based therapy offers great promise for a wide range of diseases and injuries that cannot be effectively treated by existing medicine therapies. However, the translation stem cell to clinic is still hampered lack profound understanding about survival, differentiation, migration, homing, fate transplanted cells during therapy. To address these issues, computed tomography (CT) based on nanomaterials, in particular gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), has been developed enhanced long-term imaging tracking cells. In this Mini-Review, we summarize recent progress AuNP-based CT cells, with focuses new strategies improve cellular uptake AuNPs better contrast, multimodal vivo. Finally, discuss challenges possible future developments regenerative other biomedical applications.

Imaging Gliomas with Nanoparticle-Labeled Stem Cells
Objective: Gliomas are the most common neoplasm of the central nervous system (CNS); however, traditional imaging techniques do not show the boundaries of tumors well. Some researchers have found a new therapeutic mode to combine nanoparticles, which are nanosized particles with various properties for specific therapeutic purposes, and stem cells for tracing gliomas. This review provides an int...
متن کاملIn-Vivo Positive Contrast Tracking of Bone Marrow Stem Cells Labeled with IODEX-TAT-FITC Nanoparticles
Introduction Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) possess tremendous therapeutic potential because of their capacity to differentiate into multiple functional lineages. To assess the efficacy of BMSCs cell therapy, MRI methods are being developed to monitor their bio-distribution in longitudinal studies. Although, labeling BMSCs with iron-oxide nanoparticles can facilitate their i...
متن کاملIn vivo Tracking of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Labeled with a Novel Chitosan-coated Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoparticles using 3.0T MRI
This study aimed to characterize and MRI track the mesenchymal stem cells labeled with chitosan-coated superparamagnetic iron oxide (Chitosan-SPIO). Chitosan-SPIO was synthesized from a mixture of FeCl(2) and FeCl(3). The human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSC) were labeled with 50 microg Fe/mL chitosan-SPIO and Resovist. The labeling efficiency was assessed by iron content, ...
متن کاملNoninvasive Stem Cell Labeling Using USPIO Technique and their Detection with MRI
Background: To date, several imaging techniques to track stem cells are used such as positron emission tomography (PET), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), Bioluminescence imaging (BLI), fluorescence imaging, CT scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Although, overall sensitivity of MRI compared to SPECT and Bioluminescence techniques are lower, but due to high spatial reso...
